Managing Director: Glacier International
Andrew Brotchie was appointed as managing director of Glacier International on 1 January 2015, prior to which he was head of product and investments with Glacier International from March 2011.
Before joining Glacier International, Andrew spent more than 10 years working in the international investment arena (in South Africa, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan), in the areas of business development, product and investments, and managing an investment advisory firm.
He has a BA (Honours) in History and Politics and an MBA in International Management, both from the University of Exeter in the UK.

Head: Glacier Research
Francis is a CFA charterholder and holds a BCom (Hons) degree in Financial Analysis from the University of Stellenbosch. He started his career at Sanlam Employee Benefits as a fund accountant and later as a review manager. He then spent four years as the operations and research manager at Nostic Asset Management (Category II Discretionary FSP). Francis joined the Glacier research team in March 2015 as an analyst and was promoted to senior analyst in November 2016. He took on the role of head of Glacier Research in October 2018.
Partner, Baillie Gifford
Iain joined Baillie Gifford in 1994 and was made a partner in 2005. He is the co-lead manager on Baillie Gifford’s flagship Managed Fund, in which he has been involved for 18 of the fund’s 32-year history.
He has worked in the UK Equity and North American Equity teams, and currently manages the UK Core strategy. His knowledge and experience as a stock picker also makes is input into the Pan European and Global Stewardship equity strategies invaluable.
Iain has an MA (Hons) in Accountancy from Aberdeen University and is a Chartered Accountant.
Co-chief Investment Officer, NS Partners
Ian has been managing money in East Asia and the broader emerging markets for over 26 years. Passionate about emerging market equities, Ian is an enthusiastic advocate of the subjects that define the team’s investment process: true economic profitability of companies driving shareholder returns, liquidity impacts on asset prices, behavioural finance in capital markets, and how these factors interact.
Ian began his career at Royal Insurance Asset Management as a fund manager on the Far East team where he soon became responsible for a variety of Far East client portfolios.
He joined what is now NS Partners in 1996. He assumed responsibility for all Asian equity investments shortly thereafter, and took on emerging markets in 1998.
Vice President, Dodge & Cox
Kevin joined Dodge & Cox in 1989 and is the vice president and a shareholder.
He worked as a securities analyst with Fred Alger Management for three years prior to entering graduate school.
Kevin holds a BA degree from Harvard College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a CFA charterholder.
Research and Investment Analyst, Glacier by Sanlam
Luke holds a BCom (Acc) degree, BCom (Hons) degree in Business Administration from the University of the Western Cape (UWC). He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from UWC. He is currently a CFA level 1 candidate. Luke joined Glacier Research in January 2016.
Head: Multi-Asset, Sanlam UK
Mike Pinggera is head of multi-asset at Sanlam UK with oversight of £1.8bn AUM. He is also the lead manager of the award winning Sanlam Multi-Strategy Fund and the newly launched Sanlam Real Assets Fund.
Mike joined Sanlam in January 2013 from Insight Investments where he headed up the multi-asset group. Before this, Mike spent 20 years at Credit Suisse where he held senior positions including head of special mandates and head of trusts and charities in the asset management and private banking divisions.
As head of multi-asset solutions at Credit Suisse, Mike managed a team of 14 fund managers with responsibility for £5bn of AUM. In 2018 Mike and the Multi-Strategy team won Investment Week’s Fund Manager of the Year alongside awards from Citywire and EuroHedge.
Head of Global Developed Markets Research, Coronation Fund Managers
Neil is a portfolio manager and head of global developed markets research. He joined the Coronation investment team in May 2012 and is co-manager of the Coronation Global Capital Plus, Global Managed and Global Equity Select portfolios.
Prior to joining Coronation, he worked as a management consultant at Bain & Co. In 2005 he qualified as an actuary, after which he worked as an equity analyst in London.
Neil holds a BEconSc (AcSci), FFA.
